Hyundai i20 2010

A private car’s registration is valid for 15 years from first registration, then renewed for 5 years at a time after a fitness test at the RTO. This 2010 Hyundai i20 is past 15 years, so it must carry a renewed registration. Ask us to see the renewed RC and its validity date before you buy.

Yes. A private car needs a fitness certificate when its registration is renewed after 15 years. Ask us for the current FC and renewal validity for this car.

The seller and buyer sign Form 29 and Form 30, which are filed at the RTO with the RC, valid insurance, a valid PUC certificate and the buyer’s ID and address proof. Quality Cars helps prepare and file the paperwork, and you can follow each stage on the Document Tracker. The time taken depends on the RTO, so ask us for the current timeline when you buy.

If a loan (hypothecation) is recorded on the RC, the lender’s NOC and Form 35 are used to remove it before or with the transfer. Ask us to confirm this car’s status from the RC before you buy.

After the ownership transfer the policy must be moved into your name, so that claims stay valid; we can help. The previous owner’s No Claim Bonus does not pass to you; it stays with them.

Cars registered outside Karnataka need an NOC from the original RTO and Karnataka road tax before they can be re-registered here. Ask us whether a car needs this, and what it costs.
